for UNICEF

To leave no one behind.

To leave no one behind.

the Convention on the Rights of the Child promises all children in the world to be subjects with their own rights.

However, children with disabilities face many challenges and their rights are often not protected.

Approximately 50% of children with disabilities are out of school. Many are kept hidden at home and subject to neglect, violence and discrimination.

We hope for a future where all societies are inclusive.

We are calling for support for UNICEF to achieve a society where the rights of all children are realized, regardless of their abilities.

I am honoured to support this important project to mark World Children’s Day. All around the world there are millions of children who live with a disability. Often they face daily challenges, barriers to life and exclusion from society. I hope through this project we can promote and encourage understanding and compassion in the world. And to look past the disability and support them in their own ambitions and goals in life.

UNICEF is deeply grateful to all of the participants in this important effort to promote social inclusion through art. Now, more than ever, let us work together for the future of every child.

Message from Chair

神原 未綺

The Social Art Project for UNICEF embodies the children's desire for “a future world where everyone is accepted and all societies are inclusive.”

Even today, while social inclusion efforts progress, there are still many people who experience limitations to opportunities to participate in society and are excluded because of their gender, nationality, and disabilities. The children and youth, who play key roles as project members, not only care about such issues, but also understand the importance of raising their voices and taking action to make for more inclusive societies.

To support these children in action, we have set up an executive committee in the hope that we can deliver their voices to a wider audience and help them realize the kind of societies they aim to achieve. It is a great honour to be fortunate enough to contribute to the benevolent cause regardless of my background and who I am. I will make the most out of my resources in order to help the less fortunate youths all around the world a better life and a better future.

Based on the members' commitment to make this project one that inspires action, we call for donations to be made to UNICEF. The philosophy and vision of UNICEF, which works to create a world where every child can realize their full potential, is exactly the same as that of the project members. In appreciation t of the major donors to this project, we will share the art works of Atelier Yamanami, where our members visited. We wish that this will be an opportunity to become familiar with para-art works. I hope to expand new possibilities in the art world by leveraging digital technology such as creating opportunities for more people to enjoy various artworks including para-art in the future.

We hope that this project inspires everyone with the future world that our members envision. We sincerely appreciate your generous support.
